Mrs. Daphne Hanson

Director

Mrs. Daphne Hanson, LMSW, has been an active part of Ohr Naava since its' inception and is currently the director and mechaneches in Bnos Binah Seminary. She has been teaching a variety of subjects, including Torah and Psychology, Michtav M'Eliyahu, and The Sanctity of Jewish Marriage for over two decades. Agter spending a few years studying in Eretz Yisroel, Daphne returned to the U.S. to complete her masters degree in social work at Adelphi University. She specializes in working with young adult women who are trying to find real answers to real questions about life. Mrs. Hanson also coaches young adults through dating and the early stages of marriage. The Hanson family lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Mrs. Bruchie Fischman

Mrs. Bruchie Fischman is an educator with over 12 years of experience teaching and guiding young women in various high schools. Recognizing the need to support girls struggling to fit into society's expectations, she transitioned to teaching at a specialized school for teenagers facing life challenges. Mrs. Fischman expanded her reach by teaching in multiple high schools, aiming to empower and uplift students from diverse backgrounds. Her passion for fostering inclusivity and resilience drives her commitment to education and mentoring.

Uri

Nahum

Rabbi Uri Nahum is a rav in the Orthodox Syrian Sephardic neighborhood in Flatbush. Daily, he gives a wide range of classes to a wide variety of audiences from elementary school children to middle-aged men. Rabbi Nahum gives a weekly class in practical halacha at Bnos Binah and Ateres Naava Seminaries. He continues to advance his own learning at the Keter Sion Kollel in Flatbush. Rabbi Nahum, his wife, and his children live in Brooklyn, NY.

Rabbi Yisroel Grossberg

Dean

​Rabbi Yisroel Grossbeg, a native of Staten Island, learned in the Mirrer Yeshiva and Beth Medrash Gevoha of Lakewood. He began his career in chinuch at Yeshiva Derech HaTorah of Brooklyn, first as a rebbe and eventually served as Menahel. A little over a decade ago, Rabbi Grossberg began working with struggling teenagers and their families, helping them find their place within the frum community while dealing with their individual struggles. Rabbi Grossberg has brought his unique talents to Bnos Binah and Ateres Naava Seminaries where he serves as menahel. Rabbi Grossberg and his wife Leah reside in Flatbush and are the proud parents and grandparents of a growing mispacha k"ah.

Rabbi Gil 

Frieman

Rabbi Gil Frieman is the Rav of Jewish Center Nachlath Zion. He has given lectures throughout the United States, Canada, and Eretz Yisroel. In addition to his Daf Yomi shiur, Rabbi Frieman has been involved in chinuch habanos for more than two decades. Rabbi Frieman currently teaches in Bnos Binah, Ateres Naava, and Assaf Seminaries and in Camp Tubby during the summer. He resides with his wife and family in Brooklyn, NY.

Rabbi Baruch Rabinowitz

Rabbi Baruch Rabinowitz, a talmid of Rav Moshe Shapiro zt"l, has been a mechanech for over 40 years. He is currently a staff member at Bnos Binah, Ateres Naava, Bais Yaakov Intensive, and other seminary and post seminary programs in Brooklyn. Rabbi Rabinowitz is and educational consultant and a frequent darshan on inyanei chinuch, special needs, hashkafa, chizuk, and emunah for both teens and adults. He serves as the Rabbinic Advisor at Yedei Chesed of Rockland County for families that have children with special needs.

Mrs. Jackie Bitton

Mrs. Jackie Bitton can count over 20 years of educating our communities, seminaries, high schools, and specialty programs amongst her many accomplishments. Former dean of Yeshivat Darchei Eretz, she is a sought after and world renowned speaker who connects to all walks of Klal Yisroel, wether it be Sephardic, Ashkenaz, young, old, religious, non-religious, bridging all gaps of age and religious affiliation. She has been with Ohr Naava since it's inception and enlightened her students with her heart warming, relatable, and thought-provoking lessons. She mentors students and young adults, helping them through their struggles and find meaning through their journey. Jackie and her family live in Brooklyn, NY.

Rabbi Dovid Goldshteyn

Rabbi Dovid Goldshteyn came to the U.S. from Odessa, Ukraine in 1979 when he was two years old. When in college, he earned a second-degree black belt in Shotokan Karate. He competed in the 15th world Maccabiah games in Israel in 1997 and won two bronze medals. When visiting the Kotel, he was invited to join Aish HaTorah's Discover Seminar and that changed his life. He decided to stay in Israel and study full-time in Yeshiva. He eventually became a head lecturer at the very same Discovery Seminar from 2006-2008. He was later  offered a position as an educator at RAJE in New York. Since then he has taught thousands of young Russian speaking students and taken them on educational trips to Israel becoming one of the most popular and beloved RAJE educators. Currently, Rabbi Goldshteyn and his wife Chanie reside in Brooklyn with their family.

Meir Simcha Sperling

Rabbi Meir Simcha Sperling is a young, dynamic speaker bringing Yidden closer to Hashem in

order to live a Torah life in today’s challenging world with clarity and humor. He speaks at live events

and has a large following on TorahAnytime, The Bracha Institute, Daily Dose, and Guard Your Eyes.

He also is a contributor to the Meaningful Minute app with posts and short classes.

Rabbi Yehuda Stern

Rabbi Yehuda Stern is a proud talmid of Rabbi Zechariah Wallerstein zt”l. Born and raised in

Brooklyn, Rabbi Stern began teaching at Zvi Dov Roth Academy and has been teaching at Ohr

Naava since 2009. Rabbi Stern, an attorney by profession, teaches hashkafa based classes at

Ateres Naava and Bnos Binah in a very logical and interactive way, and has extensive experience in

mentoring and guiding students through their life journey. Rabbi Stern and his family reside in

Woodmere.

Rabbi Mordechai Twerski

Rabbi Mordechai B. Twerski is the Rabbi of Congregation Ateres Shloime in Brooklyn, New York. His Chassidic community began when Rabbi Twerski and his family moved from his hometown in Denver Colorado in September of 2001. He continued the leadership of his fathers’ Chassidic community in Denver for over twenty years. In addition to leading his Chassidic community, Rabbi Twerski, has an active counseling practice in family therapy reaching across all lines of the Jewish community. In his work with the community in Denver, he was renowned for his tireless eƯorts in outreach to the western region of the US. The core 125 young families of his vibrant community in New York are actively inspiring and host hundreds of young men and women annually in their community and homes. Rabbi Twerski inspires the Bnos Binah and Ateres Naava seminary students weekly with his enlightening and unique style of education.
